Terms of Use
Updated: 24 October 2026
In short: WATTWEG estimates what a charge will probably cost. It is a forecast from public data, not a bill. You pay the operator at the charger, not us. You buy Plus through Apple.
1. Provider and scope
The WATTWEG app and this website are provided by Till Heidrich – Content Creation (Heidrich Digital), Rotdornweg 17, 21255 Tostedt, Germany. Contact: wattweg@heidrich-digital.de. These terms apply to the use of the app. Apple’s terms also apply to downloads and purchases, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
2. What the app does
- The app shows chargers, prices and charging times and suggests a charger or charging stops. The data comes from open sources published by operators and authorities and from our tariff catalogue. The app shows the source and age of each price at the station.
- Prices, occupancy and charging times can change at any time. The price shown by the charger or the operator’s app before you start always prevails. We cannot be responsible for differences between the forecast and the actual bill.
- Arrival charge and range are estimates. Plan a larger reserve in cold weather, at high speed or when towing. The app does not replace your vehicle’s display.
- Do not operate the app while driving.
- We do not sell electricity, do not conclude charging contracts and receive no money from operators for the order of recommendations.
3. Free use and WATTWEG Plus
The core features are free and need no account. WATTWEG Plus is available in addition:
- Travel Pass: 30 days of Plus, one-time purchase, does not renew.
- Plus Yearly: subscription that renews automatically for one year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial is only available if the purchase dialog shows one.
- Plus Forever: one-time purchase, no subscription.
Purchase, payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled through your Apple ID. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings under “Subscriptions”. Refunds are requested from Apple. The App Store shows the prices before you buy.
Plus never changes the order of recommendations.
4. Availability
We aim for reliable operation. Data sources may fail or change their terms; individual countries, operators or prices may then be missing for a while. We may develop features further as long as purchased Plus benefits are preserved in substance.
5. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability is excluded.
6. Data and licences
How we handle data is described in the privacy policy. The licences of the data sources are listed under Sources and licences and in the app.
7. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. If we change these terms, the new version applies to further use from the stated date.
